Fine silica gel granules, for drying flowers.
Silica gel white 0.2 – 0.8mm for drying flowers, these fine silica gel granules have a diameter of 0.2 – 0.8mm.
Are you looking for a desiccant to dry a flower or a bouquet? Then look no further, silica gel in a fine grain structure is extremely suitable for this! Due to the fine structure, the granules do not leave an imprint on the leaves or stem.
Note: The silica gel is white in color but dark particles may be present between the granulate, this does not affect the effectiveness of the Silica gel.
Place the fine silica gel granules in a large, sealable container on the bottom. Place the flowers on top of the silica gel. If you have a large bouquet, we recommend adding several kilos of the silica gel to the container. Silica gel absorbs 30% of its own weight in moisture, so 1kg is sufficient to absorb approx. 300ml of moisture. Certain flowers hold a lot of moisture, such as tropical flowers.
The drying process takes, depending on the flower, about 2-3 weeks. You can test in between whether the flour is dry or weigh the silica gel (if it has increased in weight by 30%, it is fully saturated. You must then replace the product.
